Parts of a Blog Window

The “My Account’ shows you links that are related to the account the user made. Those links can be for links like support or to just manage your account.

“My Dashboard” is a link that takes you were you can see how many posts you have posted, how many drafts, and things similar to that. The page where it takes you also lets you manage your blogs and the design of your page.

“New Post” is a link that lets you make a new post.

The “Visit Site” button takes you to your page and where you are able to see the different logs that you have made and the layout that you have on your page.

The “Write” tab is a tab that lets you choose between writing a new post or writing a new page.

The “Design” tab is a tab that lets you choose the layout that is seen when people see your blog.

The “Comment” tab is a that lets you see all the comments people have left about your blog entries.

The “Upgrades” tab is a tab that lets you see all the upgrades that are available to the people to buy for their blog entries.

The difference between “Post,”"Page,”and”Link” is that when you choose blog it just part of a page. When you choose page then your writing a whole new page and it will be separate from your blog entries when people see them. Link finally is just a way for people to go to a certain place that you want them to go to.

When it says title means the title on the page or the post depending on which of them you choose to write.

A blog is a space where people can write their thoughts or opinions and then post them. Once they have posted them people can comment on what they wrote.

I think that they call it “Permalink” because most of the time that link is permanent. They do mean permanent link because that link leads you to a website and that website is usually permanent. You might need this when you are telling the websites that help you get your information. It doesn’t show up when you give a post title.

The icons that say media just means that you can add files to your blog.

The two tabs to the right of media are visual and html. You would use visual when you want to see what you are writing. Then html you would use when you want to see the codes for things like pictures or any tipe of media. The different buttons are just the numbers that are being used to shows what u are writing or putting on your post.

Some of them are grayed out because you have not taken the necessary steps to use those buttons or you have no use for those buttons. That is for when you are in need of using a tag then you use that space and that will help you make one.

When they say that lets you associate all that means that you are able to link words with certain pages or other words.

They use categories when they what to make the posts or pages that they wrote with the ones that associate with that subject. Yes you do use categories in your post. I think that think before you speak should be in the category of assignments. None of the categories tell you if you have to complete a assignment or not. You should skip those if you want to unless that you copied and pasted something then you would need to use trackback.

Preview lets you see your post before you publish it. Publish it is a way that you post your pages. Post is just a way that you are put your post up so that every body is able to see them and leave comments on them.
